“Intimacy: Exploring Shiva through Dance and Poetry” @UVic

University of Victoria’s Student Club, Society For Indian Classical Arts (SICA) presents “Intimacy: Exploring Shiva through Dance and Poetry”, a Bharatanatyam Dance Performance written and performed by Anusha Fernando. Anusha Fernando will perform a solo Bharata Natyam recital (South Indian Classical Dance) of traditional repertoire and poetry in praise of Lord Shiva. Based on the poetry of Mahadevyakka, and featuring choreography of Jayalakshmi Ishwar, this piece will explore the content of Bharatanatyam through drama, narration and dance.
